We recently collaborated with a high profile energy company called SMA America, to create a compelling Christmas themed game. It's done after the client's flagship product, the Sunny Boy photovoltaic energy unit.
The goal of the game was simple: generate marketing buzz internally as well as externally during the festive season. The player would play the role of Santa Claus, steering four reindeers to try to avoid hard brick chimneys along the way. It's a tricky endless runner game, where the player has to navigate the chimneys in order to go as far as possible, while racking up points.
Branding elements include solar cells from the client, the Sunny Boy health bars as well as external links to visit the client's home page.
As an additional perk, we added a cool lead generation system at the end of the game. Upon finishing the game, the user would have the option to submit their score, by including their name and email address. The data would be captured and processed for lead generation purposes of the client.
