Real money games (typically referred to as RMG) are games of skill where the outcome is primarily determined by mental or physical ability. They are typically used in competitive settings such as tournaments.
Thanks to the explosive growth of eSports, real money games are growing at a very high rate in regions such as North America, Europe and Asia Pacific (APAC).
There are 2 types of real money games: Single Player and Player versus Player (PvP).
An example of a Single-Player real money game is Parkour Climb, where players compete against the game, to score the highest in a leaderboard. Top ranked players are allocated prizes based on prize pool.
An example of a Player vs Player (PVP) real money game is Castle Fight With Buddies, where players eliminate each other's soldiers to retain health of the castle. The winner typically wins the prize pool.
Real money based games are essential to every company's digital strategy. Whether your goal is brand awareness, monetization, audience building, lead generation, or customer loyalty, having a skill based game which gives out cash prizes will place your brand at the center of conversation.
