What is an Instant App?

Instant App is a new program by Google. It allows users to try an app or game instantly, from within Google Play Store. No installation required.

With Google Play Instant App, gain more installs by showcasing your instant app across the Play Store, Google Search, social networks, and anywhere you share a link.

How does the development process look like?

First, we analyze your native Android app experience. Then, we produce an engaging storyboard of the instant app, that captures the essence of your brand.

Once the storyboard is approved, we'll prepare the list of assets we need from your creative team. We will bridge the gap on any additional assets.

Depending on the scope of requirements, we normally take anywhere between 2-4 weeks to build a complete instant app from scratch.

Once the instant app is completed, we will pass over the files to your team and advise on deployment. We'll provide any necessary technical support.

Note: we're also open to having our clients (the brand) take the lead on creative side and game mechanics, while we handle the technical aspects.

Do I get analytics of the Instant App?

Yes. There are 2 levels of analytics.

Level 1: From Google Developer's dashboard, track how many people launch the Instant app, and what the install rate of your native app is.

Level 2: For more precision, we also integrate in-app analytics, which track certain milestones within the instant app. For instance, track if users completed the tutorial, which buttons they tapped on, did they finish the intended experience, and so on.

With both levels, get an comprehensive overview of your Instant App strategy.

Are Instant Apps related to Playable Ads?

Both are somewhat related. Playable ads are typically short HTML5 experiences, distributed across ad networks. Whereas, Instant Apps are embedded within the Google Play Store.

Both Instant Apps and playable ads share a common end goal, which is to get more installs for the native app.
