Whenever someone posts a new HTML5 game on the interwebs, we're always excited to play and pick apart.
Some of the impressive demos we've seen this week, include
While the demos are a great proof of concept, it would be better if the demos work on mobile.
Why mobile? The answer is simple: if it doesn't work on mobile, there's zero competitive advantage against Flash games. The whole point of HTML5 games, is to have them fully functional on mobile.
We're strongly advocating for all HTML5 game demos to work on mobile. If you're a developer, take notice, and let's get cranking! Start thinking about the user experience on mobile, from day 1. Think about game sizes, window orientations, sound, etc.
Another more bold approach that we have at MarketJS, is to consider desktop games as the "extension" to the mobile experience. Assume that the user's entry point is the mobile device, and design it in such a way, that the desktop experience enhances what the user already has in mobile.
