What a year 2016 was for HTML5 games! We played countless web games in our search for the ultimate pastime that will keep you from getting bored. And now we present to you the best HTML5 games for 2016.
Every game on this list is close to our heart. But we had to rank them, so we came up with a set of criteria. Using a scale of 1 to 5, we averaged the scores of each game in the following: Graphics & Sound, Gameplay & Controls, Fun Factor, and Replayability.
The final list is a diverse collection of some of the most awesome games you can find on the world wide web. We have puzzles, endless runners, real time strategy games, and more. Check them all out!
Number 10 on our list is a physics puzzle game. Slice of Zen presents you with a series of objects resting totally zen-like on shelves that are suspended in the air. Your aim is to slice off bits of each object for them to slide or roll, and fall down.
You need to eliminate a minimum percentage of the objects in a level before you can proceed to the next. It’s a real brain teaser!
Can’t get enough of puzzles! Puzzle Ball has a very compelling gameplay that will satisfy all the puzzle lovers out there. You need to create a pathway for the ball to reach the goal. You do this by sliding wooden blocks into their proper positions.
The real challenge lies in aligning blocks to collect all the stars while making the least number of moves in each level.
It’s a fight between 2 lone tanks to see who kills each other the most number of times! Play against the computer, or against a friend for double the fun. What makes this game even more interesting is you can make your tank turn only to the right.
Watch out, since your own bullets can also kill you when they ricochet! Collect various items in the battlefield, like lightning bolts that make you move faster, stars to upgrade your tank, and more.
Admit it–you’ve secretly dreamed of flying a jetpack. Well, now you can. At least your character in this game can. Make him go as high as possible by tapping the screen.
But of course there’s a catch: deadly gates block your path. One touch, and you’re fried. The gates open and close at intervals, so you have to time your jet boosts perfectly.
Did you know that 75% of all games ever made are about zombies? Of course we made up that statistic, but it sounds believable, right? Because everybody just loves zombies! And you’ll definitely love Zombie Survival.
In this shoot-’em-up game, you find yourself as the last survivor in an apocalyptic town where Zombies roam. You have to kill them all to survive another day. Enjoy the game’s excellent features, including 3 different modes, weapon upgrades, and really cool 3D-like graphics!
The world’s most popular casino banking game has made it to our list of the best HTML5 games for 2016. This version is called Social Blackjack because it has a tournament mode where you can play with other online players. You can even chat with each other while at the table.
Choose from different avatars and enter your own unique nickname. Feel like a high roller and bet everything you’ve got without losing a single cent in real life!
Step aside Elon Musk… we’re the first to colonize Mars! Build a colony on the red planet by mobilizing astronauts from Earth. Establish a farm to produce food, a solar energy generator for power, and other structures to make the population thrive and prosper.
Upgrades are available to help you gain resources and expand your colony quicker. This is a sure hit with players who love clicker games.
Before you can send people to build a colony to Mars, you’re going to need money. Lots and lots of it. What faster way to make tons of money than by creating your own evil corporate empire?
YBuild various money-generating structures like business establishments and labs. Invest in different products, manage your expenditures, perform damage-control, and more! This clicker game will keep you engrossed for hours. You have been warned.
How much do we love this endless runner game? Let us count the ways. The rabbit and other characters you can unlock are super adorable. Even the deadly characters that you have to avoid are cute. These include wild animals. And zombies. We know, right?!
So many neat stuff to avoid or collect as you hop endlessly down the mountain! So yeah, it’s one very awesome game in our book.
Rounding up our list is one of the most badass game in the history of HTML5 games. Meet Max, Duff, Joe, and Fury. Three totally badass guys and a totally badass girl in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. And they’re up against… zombies! Although they’re called mutants in this game.
Like your character, mutants also carry guns, and boy can they shoot! Shoot your way up the leaderboards in this real time multiplayer game and show everyone how badass you are!
