We just released a new casino-themed game, titled "Slots Beach". It's a fun and upbeat slots game, where the player attempts to bet a certain amount of virtual coins against the house, by spinning the slot machine. If the fruits match, player wins!
We've incorporated several items to make the game interesting: the scatter, the bonus and the wildcard. Each has it's own merits when matched. The wildcard item is probably the most interesting of all, because it can replace itself as any fruit, attempting to build a match for the player.
Lola, a character we developed will guide the player to make her first bet. We've designed the tutorial system to be intuitive, and easy to grasp. Missed it? Go back anytime via the main menu.
To pump up the action, we have a bonus mini-game within Slots Beach. For every 3 scatters matched, player gets to win 5 free rounds in a "spin-the-wheel game. It's like a mini wheel of fortune, allowing the player to randomly land at a prize.
What happens if the player runs out of coins? They can collect an hourly bonus from Lola, allowing them to continue free of charge.
The two main challenges building this game, was performance and realism. The slot machine, when spun has to move fast! We came up with a solution that uses a minimal amount of objects on screen. Realism was also hard to emulate, especially when players expect the game to feel and sound like a slot machine they would play at the Bellagio.
We're very proud to have released this title. It's a sign of innovation and more great things to come for HTML5 gaming. As always, you can license the game here. Happy playing!
